Textilene® brand synthetic fabric is made of PVC coated polyester fabric that is flame retardant, tear resistant, mildew/rot resistant, abrasion resistant, versatile, ultraviolet resistant, paintable, printable and easy-to-clean. Designed to reduce heat transfer through windows, this fabric also reduces the glare and harmful rays from the sun. While blocking up to 80% of the sun's rays, Solar Screen will reduce energy cost and provide protection when needed. Flame and fade resistant, Solar Screen is a durable alternative for insect screen. Excellent for enduring the elements, this versatile fabric will endure years of outdoor use. Pieces can be constructed using traditional cloth construction methods, or can be heat welded together for a near seamless look and increased structural stability. Textilene Solar Screen is perfect for large scale outdoor masking due to its high strength and natural ventilating properties that are needed to help prevent the ‘sail effect’ from occurring.
